Solving the Business Problem
Practitioners working with older adults are often pressed for time and navigating complex patient histories. Critical care decisions are sometimes made without full awareness of clinical risks—leading to costly hospitalizations and avoidable harm. ASC’s challenge was clear: create a fast, intuitive tool that unobtrusively alerts providers to dangerous conditions, offering context-aware recommendations before issues escalate.
mCONSULTassist™ fills this gap. It gives practitioners an instant view of risk factors, medication consults, and recommended actions tailored to each patient’s history—all in a few taps. Built for use in telehealth and in-person settings, it’s a powerful clinical co-pilot that improves safety, outcomes, and operational efficiency.
Noble's Collaboration
Noble was brought in to refine the experience—starting with a full UX/UI refresh and intuitive flow design that reduces cognitive load and tap fatigue. Working in close collaboration with the ASC team, we created mockups for a HIPAA-compliant mobile app that included features like a searchable patient list, consult and medication history, dynamic action tracking, and streamlined data entry workflows.
Key design goals included:
- Minimal taps to complete key actions
- Two-factor authentication with email/phone
- Clear, clinician-focused interfaces
Noble also provided guidance on infrastructure integration, push notifications, and navigation refinements based on real-world use cases. The result is a tool that’s simple, fast, and built for the busy hands of care providers.
Project Importance
In a healthcare system where one preventable hospitalization can cost thousands of dollars—and take a toll on both patient and provider—mCONSULTassist™ delivers critical decision support when it matters most. It reduces risks, flags dangerous trends, and enables clinicians to take meaningful action, faster.
With the mCONSULTassist™ platform, ASC is redefining digital clinical reviews and helping practitioners make data-informed choices in seconds—not hours. It’s not just a tool; it’s a step forward in improving patient outcomes, easing provider burden, and building a smarter, more compassionate care model.
